What does one-to-one English tuition with Educamus involve?
Every student starts in a different place. Some need help filling gaps from earlier years. Others read well but lose marks in close reading, critical essays or the folio.
Before tuition begins, an Educamus course consultant speaks to you about the student’s current level, what they are finding difficult, what they want to achieve and the type of tutor likely to suit them.
We then match them with a tutor who stays with them throughout their tuition. Sessions can take place at home in Aberdeen or online, with regular progress updates as the course develops.

Which English levels do you tutor in Aberdeen?

Yes. Tutors work with whichever set text the school has chosen and build the quotation banks and analysis the exam questions ask for.
Critical essay technique is a regular focus: structure, timing and answering the question that was actually asked.
Is home tuition or online English tuition better?
It depends on the student.
Some students prefer having a tutor sitting beside them at home. Others are completely comfortable working online.
Online tuition also gives us a wider pool of tutors to choose from, which can be particularly useful for Higher, Advanced Higher and the folio.
